CMA week @ Whisky Rebellion.com
(posted Nov. 9, 2005)
Hey. Did you see that big article in this week's Voice?

Pretty cool, eh?
The reason for all this attention is that the CMAs are
in town. This probably means nothing more to you than
Regis and Kelly are interviewing Leann Rimes today
instead of a Carrot Top. (Oh wait, he's on tomorrow.)
But to the men and women of New York City country
music, that means we're all playing a lot. So without
further ado, here's:
1. where I'm playing this week

3. a new song

(posted November 3, 2005)
So for those of you who were wondering what was wrong
with your copy of Crain's New York Business this week,
well I don't know what to tell you. But yeah, that's
me on the cover there.

The article about country music in New York City by
Tommy Fernandez is short but sweet. Copies available
on newstands all over town.
There's plenty of good music going on next weekend
what with the CMA Awards coming to town this month.
The Whisky Rebellion will be playing Friday, November
11th @ Lillie's with some great bands. Then there's a
special edition CasHank at Buttermilk on Sunday,
November 13th. Check out the full schedule here:
http://brooklyncountrymusic.com
And hey, if any of you are running the NY Marathon
this weekend, look out for Banjorama! playing
"Chariots of Fire" on kazoos at 4th Ave. & 17th St. in
Brooklyn.

Finally, the song of the week is a new Banjorama!
recording of "White Boy With the Dreadlocks" complete
with a few new verses. Check it out here.

It's a big week in country and bluegrass music here in
Brooklyn what with the Kings County Opry on Thursday @

Time Jamboree coming into town on Friday and Saturday.
I've put more info up on the Brooklyn Country Music

Thanks to everyone who came out to JugFest III and
donated and performed and everything. All in all we
raised over $400 for Habitat for Humanity. In my
busy-ness I kinda forgot to take pictures, so if
anyone has some, send them my way.

I've put some new pictures and also a new song of the
week on the website. Feel free to check 'em out at the

JugFest is back at Southpaw with a great lineup and a
great cause. We're donating proceeds from the door to
Habitat for Humanity because there's people in New

during the show, hopefully raffling something off, and
most importantly, playing great jug band music.
